Epoxy Resin Malaysia — Buy Ultra Clear, UV & Deep Pour Resins
What is Epoxy Resin?
Epoxy resin (polyepoxides) is a two-part system made of resin (Part A) and hardener/curative (Part B). When mixed at the correct ratio a chemical reaction occurs and the liquid mixture cures to a solid plastic with excellent mechanical and chemical properties.

Characteristics of Epoxy Resin
- Electrical resistance
- Chemical resistance
- Corrosion resistance
- High strength-to-weight ratio
- Low moisture absorption
- Excellent adhesion to many substrates
- Variable viscosity (choose product for your application)
Applications
Coating & Flooring
Waterproof epoxy flooring, carbon-fiber top coats, countertop sealants and protective coatings.
Art & Furniture
River tables, resin art, paperweights, keychains and dioramas.
Construction & Repairs
Adhesives, structural bonding and embedding specimens.
Electronics
Encapsulation and potting where electrical insulation is required.
Types of Epoxy Resin (Overview)
- UV Resin — cures in minutes under strong UV light. Best for thin pours & small crafts. (Cure: ~5 minutes with adequate UV lamp)
- Fast Cure 1:1 Epoxy Resin — balanced for quicker demold and finish (Cure: ~10 hours depending on temperature)
- Ultra Clear 3:1 Epoxy Resin — excellent clarity for art & coatings. (Cure: ~20 hours)
- Deep Pour 2:1 Epoxy Resin — formulated for thick pours such as river tables (Cure time depends on layer thickness)
Example price: 3:1 Ultra Clear — 1 kg RM 35; bulk >10 kg RM 33/kg (excluding shipping). WhatsApp for the latest stock & shipping: 📲 WhatsApp 011-6111 6969
How to Use — Ultra Clear Epoxy Resin (3:1 by weight)
Recommended steps
- Prepare and clean mold or substrate; ensure it is dust-free.
- Weigh parts by weight. Example: mix 9 g Part A with 3 g Part B (3:1 weight ratio).
- Stir slowly and thoroughly for 2–3 minutes to minimize air bubbles. Scrape sides/bottom while mixing.
- Allow the mixed resin to rest 5–10 minutes to let trapped bubbles rise; gently pop large bubbles with a toothpick or heat gun held at distance.
- Pour and allow to cure. Minimum handling time is ~16 hours for small pours; final cure depends on thickness and product.
Important notes
- Volume vs weight
- If you measure by volume, add ~5% extra hardener to compensate for density differences.
- Thickness
- Do not exceed recommended layer thickness for your chosen resin. For river table topcoats keep layers below recommended max (commonly 10 mm / 1 cm per pour unless using a specific deep-pour product).
- Air bubble removal
- Use a heat gun or propane torch quickly and lightly above the surface; keep moving to avoid burning or discoloration.
- Safety
- Use gloves, eye protection and work in a ventilated area. Follow SDS for product-specific handling.
UV Resin (100 g) — Curing Guidance
UV resin is ideal for thin craft pieces (≤2 mm). For reliable curing use strong UV sources such as a 36W UV lamp or a UV light box. Small LED torches or weak LED boxes may not fully cure thicker UV resin parts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What ratio for Ultra Clear epoxy?
A: 3:1 by weight. Mix carefully and use a scale for accuracy — e.g., 9 g Part A + 3 g Part B.
Q: How long until cured?
A: Curing times vary by product and temperature. Ultra Clear ~20 hours to set; allow minimum 16 hours before handling. Final cure may take several days.
Q: Can I pour 2 cm for river table?
A: Most standard resins recommend limiting single-layer thickness. For river tables use a deep-pour product specifically designed for thicker sections. When uncertain, pour in layers and follow product guidance.
